Armenian President meets Prime Minister Medvedev in Moscow

 

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev met in Moscow on Tuesday. Medvedev said that Russia intends to develop cooperation between the two states and promised Russia’s support in settling the socio-economic issues, which Armenia faces, News.am cites RIA Novosti.

“I would like to welcome you to my new office and believe that we will continue our cooperation and friendly relations will be preserved, especially when there is a special alliance between our states,” Medvedev said, congratulating Sargsyan on the victory of the party headed by the Armenian president in the recent parliamentary elections.

Sargsyan congratulated Medvedev on his appointment as prime minister and wished him good luck, claiming it is an office which has a principal meaning in bilateral relations.
