Terrorist killed in Makhachkala

Guseyn Mamayev, a militant leader in Makhachkala on the federal wanted list for the terrorist attack on May 3, has been killed in Makhachkala, RIA Novosti reports.

A car went off at the city exit with a suicide bomber. Another bomb went off later, 13 people died and over 100 were injured.

The militant was surrounded at the Karaman Village of the Kumtorkalinsky District of Makhachkala at about 5.30 pm. The counter-terrorism regime was imposed at 6 pm. The militant refused to give up and opened fire. Counter-fire killed him.

The police found an AK and a Stechkin pistol. The militant was identified as Guseyn Mamayev, born in 1984, nicknamed Khamza. Searches for other militants continue.
