European missile defense system won't be effective - experts

The NATO missile defense system in Europe won't be effective, experts of the Pentagon science center believe , the Kommersant newspaper reports.

In a special report, several experts admit that the missile shield won't be able to combat ballistic missiles.

VK asked Vladimir Yevseyev, the head  of the Social and Political Research Center, to comment on the project's capacities.

The chance that the shield will be able to combat ballistic missiles is slight, Yevseyev believes. It won't be a threat to Russia, he says.

There are other systems that are much more dangerous, the expert says.
