Putin offers worker of Uralvagonzavod to become plenipotentiary envoy to UFD

Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered Igor Kholmanskikh, a supervisor at Uralvagonzavod, to become the Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Ural Federal District, ITAR-TASS reports.

Putin met Kholmanskikh for the first time during a Q&A show in December 2011. Putin said that the supervisor has demonstrated great public activism.

Yevgeny Kuyvashev, Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Ural Federal District, became the Acting Governor of Sverdlovsk Region on May 14.

Kholmanskikh has accepted Putin’s offer. He said that he has not formed a team for the new appointment, because he was informed only 1.5 hours ago, Interfax reports.
