Georgia, Azerbaijan restore status quo of monastery

Georgian and Azerbaijani border security authorities Zaza Gogava and Elchin Guliyev have discussed the David Gareja Monastery dispute, head of the Department for Analysis and Information of the Georgian Interior Ministry Shota Utiashvili said, Trend reports.

The sides agreed to get back to the borders of May 6. Georgian pilgrims and foreign tourists will be allowed to visit the Azerbaijani part of the monastery.

Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze said in Chicago that Georgia would request Azerbaijan to attend a session of the commission for delimitation.
