Armenian president has not chosen PM

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has not yet chosen his new prime minister, News Armenia reports.

Russia recommends Armenia to appoint former Yerevan mayor, deputy director of Gazprombank, or head of the presidential administration.

According to the Constitution, the first parliamentary session should be held on the third or fourth Thursday after the parliamentary polls. Thus, the session is set for May 24 or 31. Sargsyan will dismiss the government and appoint the PM. The government will be formed in 20 days after the appointment.

The parliamentary polls resulted in five parties and a bloc entering: the Republican Party received 44.05%, Prosperous Armenia 30.2%, Armenian National Congress 7.1%, Heritage 5.79%, Dashnaktsutyun 5.73%, Orinats Yerkir 5.49%.
