Russia holds naval drills in Caspian Sea

The Astrakhan artillery ship and MB-58 tugboat are carrying naval drills in the Caspian Sea, spokesman of the Southern Military District Colonel Igor Gorbul said, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.

They have practiced maneuvers, control over damaged vessels, approach to fueling vessels. They will now practice air defenses, escort of air targets, protection from air raids using AK-630 artillery guns and other anti-air means.

The drills will be concluded with joint air operations to “destroy the naval enemy”.
