Armenia, US sign border security deal

Armenia and the US have signed an agreement on cooperation between the Armenian National Security Service and the US Defense Department to prevent proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and enforce security. Signatures were put by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Ovakimyan and US Ambassador John Heffern, Armenia Today reports.

The document states the process of transporting equipment for prevention of illegal transport of weapons of mass destruction. The sides will exchange information on confiscations of such weapons, training of specialists and appointment of a technical official or officials for the activities.
