Another military town has opened for the border directorate of Russia’s FSB in Abkhazia at the Chuburkhindzh Village of the Galsky District, ITAR-TASS reports.
Head of the directorate Sergey Komarevtsev, head of the Presidential Administration Beslan Kubrava, Russian Ambassador to Abkhazia Semen Grigoriyev attended the opening. The complex was built on over 2 hectares. It can accommodate 80 families, it has a sports hall, a children’s room, medical center, playgrounds.
Ambassador Grigoriyev noted that one of the main activities of the two states is border security, according to the agreement signed on April 30, 2009.
Three more military towns for Russian border guards will be built.
