PACE supports Kazakh proposal on OSCE summit.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) supports the initiative of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to hold an OSCE summit this year, KazTAG said.

“As the representative of another international organization, I support the Kazakh initiative to hold an OSCE summit, and I must say that Kazakhstan has held succesfully a number of conferences [as chair]. We will support this initiative” –PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu told journalists after a meeting with Kazakh Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabaev.

Cavusoglu began a four-day visit to Kazakhstan on Monday.

Cavusoglu also said that Kazakhstan, the current OSCE chair, set a good example for European countries and “may be able to seriously contribute to both European values and to the development of the Organization”.
