Presentation of the first Georgian tank planned for the military parade of Kutaisi on May 26 for the Independence Day was postponed, Vzglyad reports.
Israel’s Spider AA complexes were presented at the parade. The complexes were successfully used during the war in August 2008.
Georgia said that it does not produce tank engines, cannons, navigation systems or armor, so the tank will be produced abroad and assembled in Georgia. It will most likely be a modernized version of the T-72 model. It will have a new turret. It may have other modifications.
