Russia's Caspian Fleet concludes drills

Russia’s Caspian Fleet, including small artillery ship Astrakhan, tugboat MB-58, have concluded drills in the central and southern parts of the Caspian Sea, ITAR-TASS reports.

The vessels trained air defenses, targeting and destruction of ships. They used AK-630 artillery guns and other weapons.

The fleet practiced marine operations and prevention of terrorist attacks on oil and gas platforms in the Caspian Sea.

The Caspian Fleet returned to its base at Zaton Zolotoy (Astrakhan).
