Kabardino-Balkaria reinforces security around officials

The head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Arsen Kanokov, has ordered the
government of the republic to ensure that all mayors have armored cars
after an attempt on the life of the head of the Baksan district
administration, RIA-Novosti reports, citing the press service of the
head of Kabardino-Balkaria.

Kanokov said that a coordinating council for cooperation with law-enforcement bodies will be held soon, where a need for additional
safety measures will be discussed.

At the same time, the head of Kabardino-Balkaria urged the heads of
administrations to take responsibility to ensure their own safety.
