Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will visit Kazakhstan and meet President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Karim Masimov, RIA Novosti reports.
Medvedev attended the G8 summit in the USA. He discussed preparations for the visit with Nazarbayev and Masimov in a telephone conversation right after becoming the prime minister on May 8.
The Russian delegation will consist of deputy head of governmental office Sergey Prikhodko, Minister for Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Denisov, Deputy Minister for Economic Development Alexey Likhachov, Deputy Minister for Energy Anatoly Yanovsky, Deputy Director General of Rosatom Nikolai Spasski.
Medvedev will then visit Turkmenistan to attend a session of the CIS Council of heads of governmenta. He will also meet Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as they agreed in a telephone conversation on May 16.
