The Cabinet of the Turkish Republic of the Northern Cyprus has renamed the unrecognized state as the Turkish Republic of Cyprus, Trend reports.
The birth certificate will now contain the phrase “Cypriot Turk”.
The decision was made in response to the Greek part of Cyprus becoming the chairman of the European Union on July 1.
