The Armenian National Congress boycotts the first parliamentary session set for May 31, News Armenia reports.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will attend the session.
The ANC may also skip the ceremony of handing mandates to MPs at the Central Electoral Commission.
The Armenian National Congress headed by Levon Ter-Petrosyan was formed on August 1, 2008. It consists of about 20 political parties and organizations. Armenian opposition headed by first President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan, a candidate for president who lost the elections to Serzh Sargsyan on February 19, 2008, held protests at the center of Yerevan on February 20. Protests turned into clashes with the police on March 1-2, 2008. Ten people died and over 200 were injured.
The ANC got 7.08% of vote during the parliamentary polls on May 6, becoming the third largest party at the parliament.
