UEFA has banned the Besiktas FC (Turkey) from competing in the Europa League for a year, 1news.az reports.
The decision was made at a session in Nyon (Switzerland) during the talks about the financial situation of the Istanbul football club. The club was also fined with 200,000 euro.
Besiktas FC will be replaced by Eskisehirspor in the second round. A suit is prepared for filing to the Sports Arbitrary Court in Lausanne.
