It seems like the U.S. and other Western states are looking for a new crisis in the Middle East region, speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani said, Trend reported.
"The U.S. says it can organize military intervention in Syria, just like in Libya," Larijani said. "They underestimate the regional problems, and the current U.S. president is making the same political mistake that President Carter once made."
Larijani added that a war in Syria would spread to Palestine, and that in turn would affect Israel.
