Switzerland may form free trade zone with Customs Union

Switzerland is planning to sign an agreement on free trade zone with the Customs Union, State Secretary of the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs Marie Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch saod on Wednesday, ITAR-TASS reports.

She met officials of the Russian Ministry for Industry and Trade and the Ministry for Economic Development to discuss bilateral relations. Ineichen-Fleisch mentioned a free trade deal between the European Free Trade Association (Iceland, Lichtenstein, Switzerland) and the Customs Union. Four rounds of talks on the issue took place. The fifth is about to start. Belarus and Kazakhstan have unclear terms of becoming WTO members.
