The SOBR police force has neutralized a trap in Adygeya during drills, RIA Novosti cites a spokesman of the Interior Ministry of the region Andrey Abakumov as saying.
A remodeled carbine was found at the Kordin Kisha path in the Caucasus Biospheric Reserve in the Maikopsky District. The carbine was to shoot anyone who triggered the trap. It was probably set by poachers.
The carbine had a rifled bore, illegal for possession by civilians. A criminal case was initiated for purchase and storage of the gun. The owner may get sentenced to several years of prison.
