European Union President Herman von Rompuy will visit Azerbaijan on July 5, ANS cites Roland Kobia, the EU's spokesman in Azerbaijan, as saying.
Rompuy will make his first visit to Baku to discuss bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the EU and the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton said that the EU is ready for any support in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and to offer help to the OSCE Minsk Group.
