Budapest to be twinned with Baku

Budapest City Hall Council today discussed the expansion of economic,
cultural and humanitarian ties between Budapest and Baku. The two
cities were announced twin cities, Trend reports.

During the official visit of the president of Hungary to Azerbaijan in November 2011, the presidents of the two countries discussed the idea of becoming twin cities for the first time.
Baku and Budapest will enhance opportunities for economic cooperation,
tourism and student exchanges, as well as promotion of cultural
values.

Today, Budapest is twin city with New York, Istanbul, Berlin,
Dublin, Zagreb, Vienna, Vilnius, Lisbon, Sarajevo, Tel Aviv and other
capital cities and metropolises.
