Free Syrian army rejects Kofi Annan's plan

The Free Syrian army does no longer intends to follow the plan of the special envoy of UN and the League of Arab States (LAS) on the resolution of crisis in Syria, RIA-Novosti reports with reference to the statement of opposition.

The opposition also urged the international community or the mission of observers from the UN Security Council to introduce a no-fly zone over the country. Another requirement of the opposition is the creation of a buffer zone in Syria.

"We have decided to terminate our agreement (on the plan) and, starting from today, we begin to defend our people," - said the representative of the Free Syrian Army, Sami al-Kurdi.
