Georgia and the US discuss expansion of defense cooperation

The Minister of Defense of Georgia and representatives of the US State Department and Department of Defense discussed the issues of enhancing cooperation in the sphere of defense between the two countries. The Defense Minister of Georgia met with Deputy US Secretary of Defense Joseph McMillan and a representative of the Department of State Beth McCormick in Batumi, Trend reports with reference to the Georgian Defense Ministry on Monday.

"At a meeting with the minister, we discussed the future plans in connection with the direction in which the United States and Georgia can work together to resume strengthening the defense of Georgia," - Joseph McMillan said.
