Azerbaijani representative becomes president of UNESCO General Assembly

Ambassador Eleonora Huseinova, representative of Azerbaijan to the UNESCO, has become the President of the organization's General Assembly, Trend reports.


The General Assembly started the fourth session according to the convention on protection of non-material heritage of 2003. Five vice-presidents of the bureau were elected. Serbia, Burkina Faso, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan support the Azerbaijani candidate.


The General Assembly held the third session on June 22-24, 2010.
