Aliy Totorkulov has become the new Chairman of the Russian Congress of Caucasus Peoples (RCCP), IslamNews reports.
Totorkulov used to be the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the organization. Press secretary of the RCCP Asya Israilova said that Moscow has held an electoral council of the organization. Leaders of national public associations from 29 Russian regions, officials of the Russian Presidential Adminsitration, Moscow government, parliament and Federation Council, Academy of Sciences, cultural figures and artists attended the meeting.
Youth policy is a subject of extra attention, Totorkulov said. The RCCP will hold its traditional youth forum in Dombay of Karachay-Cherkessia in the second decade of July.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the organization on its new session and 5th anniversary.
