Chechen leader sets agriculture as priority

Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov has ordered Agriculture Minister Musa Dadayev to fulfil a set of priority goals, Kadyrov’s website reports.

The former Agriculture Minister Abubakar Edelgeriyev improved agriculture. His work should be continued. About 70% of the population used to be engaged in agriculture. Harvesting will start at the Nadterechny, Shelkovsky and Naursky Districts on June 20.

But the fields in the Shelkovsky, Nadterechny, Gudermessky, Achkhoy-Martanovsky and Sunzhensky Districts suffer from locusts.
