Washington is acting irresponsibly in stoking Tbilisi's revanchist attitude towards Russia, foreign ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said, commenting on remarks by Hillary Clinton in Georgia, RIA Novosti reports.
He blamed approaches by the US and other western countries regarding Georgia joining NATO and mass delivery of weaponry from abroad for giving Saakashvili a complex of impunity and invulnerability, which led to his misadventure in South Ossetia and the deaths of hundreds of peaceful residents and Russian peace-keepers, which needed to be repulsed, the official Russian foreign ministry spokesman said.
