Moscow authorities have approved an opposition protest route for June 12 from Pushkin Square in the center of the city to Sakharov Avenue where the demonstration will be held, a chief security official, Andrei Mayorov, said on Friday, RIA-Novosti reports.
According to Mayorov, no more than 50,000 protesters are allowed to participate in the "March of Millions". Participants are expected to gather at 1:00 PM for the protest march. The demonstration will start at 3:00 PM. The entire event is expected to finish at 6:00 PM.
Originally, the protest organizers wanted to hold the meeting close to the Kremlin but the authorities offered other, more remote options.
