Another Kabardino-Balkaria official arrested in Nalchik Philharmonic Hall case

The Tver Court of Moscow arrested one more official from
Kabardino-Balkaria on charges of embezzling a large sum from the
budget. The man arrested is the Minister for State Property Management of
Kabardino-Balkaria, Habdulsalam Ligidov, RAPSI reports.

Prior to that, the court arrested the former deputy of Ligidov, the head
of the Federal Postal Services of Kabardino-Balkaria, Ruslan Zhamborov,
who is also suspected of theft of state property worth almost 20
million rubles.

On Thursday, the Interior Ministry's press service reported the
arrest of high-ranking officials suspected of the illegal privatization
and subsequent sale of the Philharmonic Hall in the center of Nalchik,
worth about 20 million rubles. Among those arrested were the head of the
presidential administration of Kabardino-Balkaria, Vladimir Zhamborov,
his brother - former Deputy Minister for State Property Management and
Land Resources, Ruslan Zhamborov and others.

According to investigators, Ligidov signed the necessary documents on
the dispossession of the building of the Philharmonia of Nalchik
following the orders of Ruslan Zhamborov. According to these documents
the republic was no longer the owner of the building and it was
ready for sale.
