Kazakhstan to send observers for Georgian elections

 

Kazakhstan is willing to send observers for the parliamentary and presidential polls of Georgia, as discussed by Chairman of the Georgian CEC Zurab Kharatishvili and Kazakh Charge d’Affaires Adil Tursunov, Georgia Online reports.

The sides exchanged views on expanding friendly ties.

Georgia will have parliamentary polls in October 2012 and presidential polls in autumn 2013.

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili ordered the Foreign Ministry to send letters to international organizations and independent states in early April. An invitation to monitor elections 7 months ahead of the polls is a an international precedent.
