Abu Yahya al-Libi, the second Al Qaeda member the US said was dead last week, has made a video message, RIA Novosti reports.
Al-Libi urges radical Islamists to support illegal armed formations to fight in Syria. The urge was addressed to Iran, Jordan and Turkey. The date of record of the message cannot be verified.
Associated Press reported on June 4 that al-Libi was killed by a US drone in the northern part of Pakistan. White House spokesman Jay Carney confirmed the death. A Pakistani Talib leader called his death a “big loss”.
The real name of the terrorist is Mohamed Hassad Qaid. He escaped a US prison in Afghanistan in 2005. Earlier reports about his death proved false.
