The European Court for Human Rights held a hearing on Wednesday in the Russia vs Georgia case, which started in 2007, RIA Novosti reports.
This week the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg begins consideration of the case, which concerns the mass deportation of ethnic Georgians living in Russia in the autumn of 2006, and evidence of gross human rights violations against them. After consideration of the claim by the Georgian side the court shall make a final decision, Trend reported.
The Georgian government sent a complaint to the European Court on March 26, 2007.
