Georgia established diplomatic relations with South Sudan, News Georgia reports referring to Georgian representatives in the UN.

The ceremony of signing the necessary documents took place in New York. The documents were signed by the Georgian representative at the UN Alexander Lomaya and the representative of the South Sudan Francis Nazario.

“According to the documents, Georgia will develop political, economic, humanitarian and cultural relations with South Sudan following the principles of the international law such is territorial integrity, equality of rights and the non-interference of the internal affairs”,  reads the message.
