European court won't discuss 2003 elections in Russia

The European Court for Human Rights announced that it wouldn't discuss the 2003 parliamentary elections in Russia, Ekho Moskvy reports on Tuesday.

Two Russian political parties, the Communist Party and the liberal Yabloko party, applied to the court saying that the elections were conducted with massive fraud involved.

The Communist Party reacted by saying that the court's decision was politically motivated. The ruling United Russia party said that the court's position was well-based and unbiased.
