The Public Ecological Alliance has filed a message to Armenian Speaker of Parliament Ovik Abramyan and Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Agriculture and Environmental Protection Samvel Balasanyan with an urge to nullify discussions about Lake Sevan of June 20, Armenia Today reports.
The government studied the project of pumping 320 million cubic meters of water from the lake. The ecological organization, 20 public organizations of the Gegarkunik Region, representatives of communities urge the project to be scrapped for violating the Constitution, Orkhus Convention and laws.
