Spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev has confirmed the arrest of two Azerbaijani citizens, Trend reports.
Farid Husein and Shahriyar Gajizade were accused of attempting to commit a crime. The Azerbaijani Consulate General requested a meeting with the citizens in Tabriz.
The two citizens went missing in Iran on May 2. Azerbaijan filed three notes demanding clarifications.
