Israel strikes Palestine

At least one Palestinian gunman were killed and two wounded during
shelling by the Israeli Air Force of territory in the east of the Gaza
Strip, a representative of the local Ministry of Health told RIA-Novosti.

The Israeli military confirmed the fact of the bombing, but have not released more
details yet.

This Israeli air strike was the first since Hamas announced a ceasefire
on Wednesday night on behalf of the "Palestinian resistance factions."
During the three days preceding the truce, Israel was attacked by more than
a hundred rockets and mines, and at least nine residents of the Gaza Strip were
killed.

On the eve, Palestinian militants fired at least nine missiles at southern
Israel despite the declared truce.
