An official Turkish source confirmed that a Turkish aircraft that
previously went missing was shot down by the Syrian army, Hurriyet reports
referring to a statement by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The pilots of the aircraft have been rescued and are in good health. The
Syrian authorities have sent Turkey an official apology, Interfax reports.
As VK reported previously, an aircraft of the Turkish Air Force had gone
missing close to Syria.
