Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that he does not yet possess any accurate information about the destruction of a F-4 Turkish military aircraft by Syrian army and denied earlier media reports that the aircraft was shot down by Syrian forces, RIA-Novosti reports.
Turkish prime minister also denied that the pilots were found alive. The search for them is continuing, Erdogan said.
Earlier, the Turkish General Staff reported that an F-4 aircraft had disappeared from radars about noon (12.00 GMT) over the Mediterranean Sea close to the border with Syria.
