Georgia is interested in the realization of the AGRI project, an alternative to Nabucco to transport Caspian gas bypassing Russia, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze said, Interfax Azerbaijan reports.
The official said that AGRI may be realized earlier. Georgia, Azerbaijan and European states are interested. Nabucco is important, but the terms of its realization are unclear, he went on. Georgia proposes the transit of liquefied Caspian gas through the Black Sea.
Romania and Hungary are active in realizing the AGRI project. Vashadze has not named the source of gas for AGRI, but assured that gas will be provided by the Caspian Region and Middle Asia.
