Syria has attacked another Turkish military jet searching for an F-4 Phantom in the Mediterranean Sea, 1news.az reports.
No material damage was caused. The Turkish jet had to stop its operation and return back. Turkey demands a NATO council on Tuesday to discuss the incident.
A Turkish RF-4E left the Erhac airbase in the Malatya Province on Friday. Radars lost it in about 1.5 hours after taking off from the Hatay Province. Syria said that it shot the Turkish jet down for violating the border. Turkey called it an aggressive act.
