New Egyptian president to reconsider relations with Israel

The newly elected Egyptian President, Mohamed Mursi said on Monday in an interview to the Iranian news agency Fars that he intends to revise the terms of the Camp David peace agreements with Israel, Interfax reports.

Mursi said that Egypt is going to discuss with Israel the rights of the Palestinians to self-determination.

He stressed that he will not adopt any decision alone and that all the changes will be coordinated with the government.

Egyptian President also called for the strengthening of relations between Iran and Egypt, which in his opinion, would create a strategic balance in the region.
