European Union confirms its decision to introduce embargo on Iranian oil

The European Council on Foreign Affairs has confirmed its decision from January 23, 2012 to introduce embargo on Iranian oil export starting from July 1, 2012, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the council.

"The last set of EU sanctions against Iran will be introduced, as has been decided earlier. After a review of the sanctions, the council has left them in force, according to the January decision," – the statement reads.
