Teuchezh Khut, the former head of the Teychezh District administration of Adygeya, will pay 150 million rubles for receiving a Lexus off-roader worth 2 million rubles as a bribe, RIA Novosti reports.
Khut received the bribe at some point during the period April 1, 2008, to May 7, 2008, from Yuri Jabatyrov, Director General of the Adygeyskaya GES Company to speed up legal processes. The official helped the businessman privatize 8.7 hectares of land illegally near the Krasnodar Hydro Network. The land lot was purchased for 7,200 rubles, while its real market price was 300 million rubles.
Khut lost the elections to the local municipality in March 2012. He was fined with 150 million rubles for large-scale bribe reception and excess of authority.
