U.S. Military Cadets have completed the basic course of the summer mountain training. The festive ceremony of the completion of the exercise was held at the base of the Sachkher mountain training school. Cadets were given certificates and lapel badges, Trend reports.
Some 28 cadets of the military university were in mountain training school as part of bilateral cooperation between the U.S. and Georgia. The basic course of summer mountain training began on June 4 and ended on June 23. Within 3 weeks the cadets mastered mountain and technical skills.
The school's instructors taught the future military men rules of movement in the mountains and highlands, crossing rivers and gorges. They also became acquainted with methods of first aid and evacuation.
The deputy head of the Joint Staff of Georgian Armed Forces, Col. Arsen Tsuhishvili, and vice-colonel Lasha Beridze, as well as representatives of the NATO union office in Georgia and diplomatic corps attended the closing ceremony of the course.
