Armenian president to visit Brussels

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will visit Belgium today and meet Catherine Ashton, High EU Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, and Wilfried Martens, President of the European People's Party, Sargsyan's press service reports.


Sargsyan will attend a summit of the European People's Party. Sargsyan's Republican Party and two other coalition parties Orinats Yerkir and Heritage are observers of the European People's Party.


The Armenian leader is making his second visit to Brussels in four months.


Yerevan received 100 million euro from the EU in 2007-2010. 150 million euro have been granted since then.
Ashton and Sargsyan are expected to discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
