Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi met his Kazakh counterpart Yerzhan Kazykhanov in Astana, Trend reports.
They discussed regional processes, the situation in Syria and Afghanistan, the peace plan of Kofi Annan and the special envoy of the UN and LAS.
Salehi said that Iran and Kazakhstan need to increase trade turnover and investments and develop political, cultural and scientific contacts.
Kasykhanov noted that Salehi's visit coincides with the 20th anniversary of Iranian-Kazakh diplomatic relations.
