Two Interior Ministry troops were wounded in Chechnya as a result of explosions, law enforcement agencies said. On Monday morning, in a mountainous wooded area 10 km from the settlement of Bamut in the Achkhoi-Martan district, where Interior Ministry troops were carrying out search and reconnaissance activities, there was an explosion of an unknown device. As a result, a contract soldier was wounded, ITAR-TASS reports.
Later in the same area there was an explosion of an anti-personnel mine, which injured the commander of a reconnaissance team. On the same day near the settlement of Yandi in the Achkhoi-Martan district, unknown people fired automatic weapons at an official Lada vehicle, in which followed two staff members of the FSB in the republic. "As a result, a policeman-driver was wounded in the leg," the agency source said. The gunmen were not apprehended.
