Russian Air Force chief says Qabala Radar is minor loss

General-Major Victor Bondarev, Commdner of the Russian Air Forces, said that failing to lease the Qabala Radar of Azerbaijan again is not a big loss for Russia, RIA Novosti reports.

Russia will experience a reduced data flow for only a short period, the general goes on.

Russia leased the Qabala Radar in 2002. The contract expires on December 24, 2012. Russia wants to lease it until 2025. A new contract needs to be concluded 6 months ahead of the old contract's expiration.
